Crosby Shoots! He Scores!!
The Men's Canadian hockey team finished the final total of Canada's medals on the final day of the Olympics February 28.Beating team USA in overtime with a score of 3-2 Canada. From the beginning of the game it seemed like Canada would win, scoring two goals in the 1st period. But then in the third period USA scored one goal right of the bat and then with 40 seconds left in the third period the USA pulled their goalie, and scored making the game go into sudden death overtime. The young (handsome) Sidney Crosby scored the gold medal winning goal with 7:50 seconds left in overtime. The game was full of GREAT teamwork and a sea of red and white with the occasional American.

Definitely one of the most memorable things in the Olympics for me was watching the Canadian women's hockey team win gold!!!!Canada snatched the gold medal from team USA, with a score of 2-0 Canada. The game was full of almost goals, great passes, awesome team work, and lots of red and white fans!!!!!!! I love to watch the women play they always keep me on the edge of my seat bouncing. I am so thankful that Canada treats women just as fairly as men and gives something to look forward to, something to reach for, for when I grow up.
Women's Wednesday!!!!!!!
On February 24 Canada won four medals all won by women!!!!! Jessica Gregg, Tania Vicent, Kalyna Roberge won silver in women's 3000 metre relay. In Women's bobsleigh Canada won both gold and silver. The Canadian pairs that won medals are Kaillie Humphries and heather Moyse (gold) and Helen Upperton and Shelly -Ann Brown (silver). And finally Clara Hughes took bronze in 5000 metre long track speed skating.
All these women worked very hard to win their medals. No offense to the men but 15 of Canada's 26 medals have been won by women.

Abebe Bikila, a bodyguard for a Ethiopian Emperor, ran an olympic marathon barefoot!!!!!!!!!! What's even funnier is that he won gold!!!!!!
Vassily Alexeyve, the 152 kg weight lifter , was seen eating a breakfest of steak and 20 eggs!!!!!!!!!!!! That must have been his secret ingredient cause he won gold that year.

The video Lights Will Guide You Home" is amazing!!!!!!! I think it is really cool how ever time the Olympics come around they go to the bottom of Mount Olympias to get the Olympic flame. Also think that it is really cool how they show the Olympic clips from a long time ago.
I know alot of people are agianst the Olympics and i am a little bit agianst them , I do belive that there are other problems in the world that should be getting delt with, but only a little cause i am someday i am going to play for Canada's National Women's Hockey team. But i just love the olympics , I think that the olympics are awesome and that they bring people closer. This Video really gives me hope for my dream , actually everything with the olympics gives me hope, but this video espesially.
