Science Unit Test

Grade four will be writing their Science Unit test on Monday, May 31. We have studied in class but students are expected to study at home as well.

Study Guide

- Know a few examples of light energy.

- Know what translucent, opaque and transparent mean.

- Be able to give examples of light technology.

- Know what happens to the size of a shadow when the light source is

moved.

- Know the light spectrum.

- Know why we see objects as a certain colour.

- Be able to give examples of natural and artificial light.

- Know how light travels.

- Know what refraction means.

- Know what reflection means.

- Know 1 way to keep your eyes safe.

Technology Assignment

The Technology assignment is due Friday, May 28.

Students DO NOT need to make the devise chosen to extend the use of light. Only the paper needs to be handed in and will be marked. Students may share a made device if they choose.

On Wednesday, May 19, we will be going on a field trip to Lower Fort Garry- Beaver on the Coin. Students will be bringing forms home today.

We look forward to meeting with you at Tri- Conferences next week. Our theme will be to celebrate our successes in Grade 4 and to set goals to continue to improve.
